In what ways has your internship inspired you to think about college or career? Have you discovered new colleges that you are interested in attending? Have you learned about new courses to study or majors to pursue? Have you considered new career paths?

My internship has made me reconsider whether I would like to join a job that is more lab orientated rather than facing patients head on. It has made me really eager to explore the medical field and see the different types of focuses it provides. I am in the process of looking into colleges that could potentially help me reach my desired career path. One that I have learned about that I never knew of before is Roslalind Franklin University. This school is where many of the pathologist assistants who work at Sharp have completed their studies in order to be where they are now. For now, I have not considered a new career path, I would like to enter the medical field however, the only thing that has changed for me is whether I would like to be in a lab or in a doctors office/hospital.

Today I parafilmed containers that held placentas that were ready to be shipped. Parafilm is a thin plastic that can stretch. We use this to prevent the specimen or any liquids it may have from spilling during the shipping process.
