Week 3 Blog #1 (1/21/23)

Your mentor interview will happen over the next couple weeks. What do you hope to learn about your mentor from that conversation?

As my mentor Interview is coming up, I’m hoping to learn more about how Leslie got involved in the pathology part of medicine. It’s always interesting to learn how people got introduced to their careers, what their initial thoughts of it were, and overall what drives/motivated them to pursue that career. I also would love to get to know Leslie a lot more. I don’t see her very often throughout the day and for me it’s important to build a relationship with people who I interact with so I think this will really help me get to know her. I'd also like for her to give me any tips on how to continue my learning career going down the medical path. What does she wish she had done differently in college? What are her biggest regrets since joining the medical field? Questions like those are what I think will be helpful for me to know.
